The eggs of water snails.

We spotted these egg clusters when we walk past a big rock near the water edge.These snail egg cluster are pinkish in colour and the egg cluster are quite big in size as they contain about 2000 eggs.And as we know,most snails are hermaphrodite,which means that they are both male and female and they can lay eggs with only one snail.However,these egg's parents are not hermaphrodite,there are males and there are females and they are call Pomacea snails. They are NOT asexual. so there will be 1 male and 1 female, at least, before we see breeding and egg laying.When the egg hatch, the baby snails will eat their egg shell when they come out of the shell and they will drop into the pond to start on their journey of life.
